Error 800706be under COM+ (Component Services)

Problem Description

When using a Persits component registered under COM+ Services (Component Services), the following error may occur:

error '800706be'

or, sometimes,

An exception occurred.

This error usually occurs when attempting to use a feature relying on intrinsic IIS properties, such as the Save or SaveVirtual methods in AspUpload, SaveHttp in AspPDF, SendBinary in AspJpeg, and others.

Solution

When registering a Persits product under COM+ (Component Services), enable the Allow IIS intrinsic properties checkbox under the Advanced tab of the component's properties, as follows:
